Una McKay MSc, PGCE, Dip HE, RN, INP.
Una qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1993 and has had a varied and interesting career in healthcare, working across a number of different specialities. A previous Senior Nursing Lecturer at the University of the West of England for over ten years she now divides her time between general practice nursing and private cosmetic work.
Una's cosmetic training was initially undertaken with Medics Direct, led and directed by the world renowned Dr. Kate Goldie. She has undergone further training with Allergan, Harley Acadamy, Merz, Skin Viva, NeoStata and Dr Lance Setterfield, the dermal needling specialist,
Una is an Independent Prescriber and given her background as a lecturer, she is passionate about education and evidence based practice and therefore always looking for ways to enhance her skills and knowledge. She is a regular attender at aesthetic conferences and regional meetings of the British Association of Cosmetic Nurses (BACN) of which she is an associate member. The BACN is the largest professional organisation for nurses carrying out aesthetic treatments in the UK. It operates under a strict 'Code of Conduct' to ensure patient safety across all treatments undertaken by its members.
